Possibly another clue: This page started/installation/acceleratingandroid_emulators/ says that the ABIs list should be greyed out after deploying my app to the emulator. It very much feels about the same as the old non-acelerated emulators. HAX is working and emulator runs in fast virt mode.īut it definitely responds much slower than the "accelerated" emulator. ![]() If I start it from the device manager, I can see that it at least thinks it is using HAX - the "Starting" window shows: ![]() I created a new virtual device based upon the Nexus 4 and this device works but it runs much slower than the "accelerated" one. From within device manager, the button is not enabled for this device. I see the "Restarting" message and then at about the point where the error would've displayed (at the 3.5 second point), the device hangs and becomes unresponsive. I also tried doing a factory reset on the virtual device but I don't think it gets completed. I've tried changing the API level and several other things with no difference. To use VM acceleration on macOS when the Hypervisor.Framework is not available, you must install the Intel HAXM kernel extension. MAC INTEL X86 EMULATOR MAC OS XIt throws this constantly and makes the emulator unusable because I constantly have to close the message. On Mac OS X v10.10 Yosemite and higher, the Android Emulator uses the built-in Hypervisor.Framework by default, and falls back to using Intel HAXM if Hypervisor.Framework fails to initialize. My "Android Acceleratedx86" virtual device has begun throwing a " has stopped" or " keeps stopping" error about every 3.5 seconds. ![]()
